Artists: Stars Go Dim
Stars Go Dim received national attention when they were invited to perform on
John Mayer's “Mayercraft Carrier” in late March 2009 with John Mayer,
O.A.R., Guster, and more.
Simon Cowell's brother Tony Cowell gave a huge shout out to Stars Go Dim
on his radio show “The Cowell Factor” and has given the band praise in his
blog (July 2009).
Stars Go Dim was chosen as Channel One's Artist of the Year
(www.channelone.com) after featuring the band on their national TV program.
Two of the four Stars Go Dim members were 2008 Grammy nominated
musicians for their contribution on an outside project, Pillar.
Winner of the 2008 Billboard World Song Contest for “Get Over It”.
Stars Go Dim's music is currently being played in Kohl stores nationwide and
Hollister clothing stores globally.
“Get Over It” won First Prize (Rock/Alternative) of the 2008 USA Songwriting
Competition.
Stars Go Dim's music videos for "Come Around" and "Get Over It" are being
played before every movie in over 200 theaters in Los Angeles and San
Fransisco, CA throughout the fall/winter of 2009.
Stars Go Dim has had two #1 singles in the Philippines in 2009 thanks to
Monster Radio 99.5. "Crazy" and "Love Gone Mad" both topped the charts for
7 weeks each. Other pop stations across the country has since picked up Stars
Go Dim and started charting the band.
Won the Country Music Television (CMT) and Nashville Songwriters
Association International's (NSAI) 8th Annual Listener's Choice Award for the
song "Come Around". The group was voted number one out of 3,000
submissions.
Delta Airlines will be playing "Come Around" this Nov/Dec 2009 on Channel 9
on all flights. Stars Go Dim will be listed in the Delta's Sky Magazine.
Stars Go Dim has been licensed for this Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 TV
programs: Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe and Kourt go to Miami,
Tough Love, Bad Girls Club, The Stylist, The Hills, The Real World, Road
Rules, The City, Cribs, My Super Sweet 16, and more.
Started as a side project among friends, Tulsa, OK based Stars Go Dim quickly
found a following on the internet before the first songs were actually recorded
via video blogs. Upon the release of their Stars Go Dim EP in October 2008 the
group started getting a lot regional and national press. Winning some of the
biggest song writing contests in the world didn't hurt. Opening for major acts
such as Switchfoot, Jonas Brothers, John Mayer, Chris Daughry, Billy Joel,
Elton John, and many others also lead to the bands quick rise. Stars Go Dim
released their first full length album "Love Gone Mad" on August 4, 2009 |
