Michael Warren has hooked his fans early -and continues to make them proud to support him as he climbs the ladder to stardom. Originally from Hoover, AL, Michael wasted no time working towards his musical dream.
In 2005 he was honored with an invitation to perform in a nationally televised UNCF fundraising concert. In 2006, he recorded logo music for regional Fox TV. In 2007, he has just finished recording a live PBS/CPT TV concert special and is also working on music for an upcoming film.
He has performed major music festivals in Alabama including Birmingham City Stages, Huntsville Big Spring Jam, Montgomery Jubilee CityFest and Mobile Bayfest. He has opened for Robert Cray, B.B. King, Gladys Knight, Will Hoge, Howie Day, Marc Broussard, Live, Gin Blossoms, Steppen Wolf, Master P, Taylor Hicks and Michael Tolcher. Michael has also performed with the USO for our Troops in Europe.
There is a familiarity that is found in the universal themes of Michael's lyrics and a refreshing uniqueness in the music under them. By blending R&B, rock, pop and funk, Michael has created his own distinct sound that continues to win new fans. At a tender age, his voice is filled with the deep soul of legendary singers twice his age.
On his debut album, Michael runs the gamut of life's experiences. He portrays the emotional depths of finding love in "From the Moment" and the hurtful anger of losing it in "Go Back." The album gracefully moves on to the self-affirming
"Won't Stay Down" and "Big City" -chronicling the struggles of moving on in life and realizing a dream. His latest 5 song EP release contains a maturing edge that continues to fuel his creative fire.
Whether performing with his band or acoustic, Michael Warren grabs his listeners not only by the quality of his music but by a deeper quality heard in his music -the truth of being himself above all else.
