Artists: The Black And White Years
SXSW, Austin City Limits and “The Live Music Capital of the World” are all synonymous with Austin. So when a band rises to the top of that scene like The Black and White Years have, you can be sure that there is good reason for it! B&WY and its electro-dance-rock are the rage of this college and music town. They are veterans of SXSW having played more than thirty shows during the festival in the past four years. At last year’s Austin Music Awards they took home the trophies for Best New Band, Best Live Rock Band, Song of the Year (“Power to Change”) and Producer of the Year (Jerry Harrison).
In addition to SXSW, they have played Wireless Festival (London), MIDEM (France), Fun, Fun, Fun Fest, Austin City Limits (both in Austin), CMJ Music Marathon (NYC), and toured the Midwest, Northeast and East Coast.
They are now working diligently on their second album. |
