Artists: Angie Stevens & The Beautiful Wreck
Named Denver's Best Singer/Songwriter by both the editors and fans of Westword (Colorado's biggest alt-weekly), Stevens is rapidly gaining national attention.
She has played everything from the Hotel Cafe in LA to Opening Day at Coors Field in Denver.
Her song, "Sleepwalking," was featured on HBO's "Big Love." Her video, "Stand Up Girl," (filmed during her August 2006 concert at Red Rocks) was a "Pick of the Week" on Country Music Television's "Top 20 Video Countdown show." And she signed a music licensing agreement with MTV Networks.
In September 2007 she returned to Red Rocks to perform as part of the first-ever Monolith Festival. In January 2008 she and bass player Susan Phelan showcased at the Sundance Film Festival. In May she and her band performed at Circus Mexicus in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico.
Just released nationally is the DVD from the Seven Voices concert series featuring Stevens and internationally recognized singer/songwriters Otis Taylor, Stuart Davis, and Jeff Finlin.
Stevens's music has been played on radio stations around the US and in Europe. She has performed in 21 states and received press coverage in most of them. She has also done a number of television and in-studio radio appearances around the country.
